This trip was financed by my son, with my contribution consisting of planning the details. At the end, we followed the itinerary to the letter. We circumnavigated the island counterclockwise, staying 9 nights in 8 different hotels, Reykjavik being our starting and ending stop. We saw fjords, mountains, volcanoes, glaciers, geysers, lava fields, icebergs, and countless waterfalls. We missed out on the elusive Northern lights, puffins, and seals, but overall we had a blast!
